Overview
This is a full-time, in-house position. We will not consider freelancers or recruiters.
Gard Communications is looking for a Digital/Social Media Manager with a strong sense of craft to lead the planning and implementation of social marketing strategies in both organic and paid social channels. We hope to find someone who enjoys challenges, will take ownership of their work, is self-disciplined and values the people they work with as much as the work itself. We’re a close-knit team that enjoys working together and collaborating.
This position will work closely with the account management and media placement teams. Our company is made up of junior and senior staff, all learning from and supporting each other with the goal of developing each team member’s skills and abilities while helping our clients be successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Google Ad (Search & Display) & Social Media (Meta (FB/IG), Twitter, LinkedIn Campaigns
- Collaborate on strategy with media planners and account managers – and draft proposals for budget, targeting, conversion tracking
- Create social media campaign briefs
- Set up and execute digital campaigns on all platforms
- Perform daily campaign monitoring and optimization
- Mid-campaign and end-of-campaign reporting and analysis with recommendations
- Ability to use Google Looker Studio for Google reporting
- Adept with Excel for well-formatted social reporting
- Report to account manager on campaign status
- Social Media Content (Organic/Non-Paid)
- Plan and schedule social content in Hootsuite and Sprout Social
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tags Manager
- Create and link client accounts
- Create and test events and conversion tracking
- Regular monitoring & maintenance
- Regular reporting and analysis with recommendations
- E-newsletter – Mailchimp Campaigns
- Create and manage accounts
- Create and edit templates
- Manage audiences and stay within monthly budget caps
- Regular reporting and analysis with recommendations
Skills and Experience
- 2-4 years relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills via email, online meetings, in-person meetings and phone
- Excels working collaboratively in a team as well as independently
- Short-form writing skills (social media, Google ads)
- Excellent research skills and ability to troubleshoot via reputable sources
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Project management and time management
- Creative problem solving and critical thinking
- Ability to be proactive, take initiative and speak up
- Can-do attitude and drive
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree
- Experience with other Google software including Google AdSense, Google Business Profile, Google Lighthouse
- Video production and editing short-form content for social media
- Some experience writing short-form copy and captions
- Basic graphic design skills
- Website auditing and goal-setting experience

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range is $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience
