Chelsea Punian

Chelsea joined Gard as a Public Affairs Account Manager in 2021 and quickly helped expand the agency’s expertise in public affairs, becoming Director of PR and Public Affairs in 2023. She brings a wealth of professional experience in public affairs and public relations to accounts that have legal or political components. Chelsea also leads Gard’s skilled team of public relations and public affairs specialists, affectionally known as the A-Team, setting strategy, executing plans and delivering the results our clients want.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a B.A. in International Relations, Chelseaearned a Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School and has taken her love of public policy in several different directions over her career, making the transition from law school to politics to consulting. Prior to Gard, she was Chief of Staff for Oregon State Senator and former Majority Leader Ginny Burdick. While in the Oregon State Capitol, she worked on cutting-edge gun reform legislation, helped close tax loopholes and supported other critical initiatives around Northwest and Southwest Portland.

An avid sports fan ­ – watching, playing and hopefully coaching one day – Chelsea loves reading, drinking tea, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with her husband and her dog.
