Founded the advertising and public relations firm in late 1979 to specialize in issue, crisis and corporate communications. Served as president until becoming senior partner in 2017. Currently focuses on client consulting and strategy and advising the firm’s president, Liz Fuller.

Community Involvement

Brian is a Life trustee of Willamette University and has served as board chair of Oregon Business Association (now Oregon Business & Industry), Literary Arts and Acumentra Health (now HealthInsight Oregon). He has been a member of the boards of Special Olympics of Oregon, The Nature Conservancy of Oregon, City Club of Portland, Parry Center for Children, Christie School for Children and the Portland Recycling Team.

He was also a Governor-appointed member of the Oregon Commission of Children & Families.

Since 2004, he has guest-lectured occasionally on the history and structure of the sonnet for the MFA/Creative Writing Program at PSU.
