Taking a Stand Against Hate
To put a stop to hate crimes and bias incidents and create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone, Oregon passed a new Hate and Bias Crimes Law. We helped bring attention to it with a series of videos, highlighting the diverse faces, first-hand experiences and heartfelt voices of community members, emphatically saying, “We’re taking a stand together against hate.”

Video can be a powerful tool for delivering important messages in a very personal and touching way. For this video spreading the word about Oregon’s new Hate and Bias Crimes Law, we assembled a diverse cast to talk about the law’s intentions – and share their own thoughts on what a hate-free Oregon would look like to each of them.

We made this 30-second version to release as a television PSA, as well as sharing with partners to release on their social media channels, rallying all Oregonians to take a stand against hate.

Speaking in one voice with a diverse group of community leaders and members, this scripted video shows how we’re taking a stand together against hate because in Oregon, “Taking a stand is what we do.”
