Not Just Another RV Show

Managing public relations and marketing for an event over multiple decades can present some interesting challenges. Luckily for us, longtime client O’Loughlin Trade Shows makes our job easier by consistently adding new and exciting features to their shows.

At the 2014 Portland Fall RV & Van Show, we had the pleasure of introducing “The King” to the city. Rolling into the Portland Expo Center this year was a customized $500,000, 53-foot mobile museum housing a portion of the world’s largest private collection of Elvis memorabilia outside of Graceland. The “Private Collection of the King on Tour” includes famous Elvis costumes, jewelry, a motorcycle, army gear, movie memorabilia, and personal belongings.

The most exciting part of this year’s feature turned out to be a unique guest personality. Elvis Aaron Presley, Jr. – Elvis’ biological son, who looks the part – was the onsite curator of the traveling exhibit. Check out the video below of Elvis Aaron Presley, Jr. with Fox12’s Joe on the Go.
