Katie has been a graphic designer at Gard since 2008. She works hand-in-hand with our creative director and the rest of the team to bring concepts to life in print and digital formats. Her clean style and attention to detail helps maintain brand consistency across multiple channels for each of Gard’s clients.
Katie specializes in combining all of the elements – the copy, images and brand style – to create cohesive designs that align with the overall strategy and project goals. She prepares files for printing and delivers digital assets to clients, working directly with printers and other vendors to ensure the highest level of quality from start to finish.
Before joining Gard, Katie helped teach English to students in Japan. She has degrees from Pacific University in Japanese Studies and Portland Community College in graphic design.
Outside of designing for work (and for fun), Katie enjoys reading a good book, cooking a new recipe and sewing a one-of-a-kind garment. And she loves finding exactly what she didn’t need at thrift stores and estate sales.
